Electronic Security Engineer

GC Alarms Ltd is a small, but well-established security system company who are looking to expand and now require an additional full time, permanent electronic security system engineer. Our engineers are involved in installing and service maintenance of security systems, including intruder alarms, fire alarms, access control systems, CCTV and more.

Our engineers install security systems to the relevant industry standards, providing exceptional customer service with industry leading technical knowledge. We are also looking for an engineer who can identify and rectify problems before they occur.

Must have a Full UK Driving Licence and be willing to travel in and around the South East area daily (mainly Kent, Surrey & Sussex) and into Central London (approximately once a month). Will be required to be on 24-hour call on a 3-week rotation.

Previous experience in the security industry is advantageous but not required as full training can be given to the right candidate.

Apprenticeship and training available

20 days holiday + Bank Holidays

Working hours 8am – 5pm (40 hour week) - Overtime available

Tools, laptop, van & phone all provided

Salary dependent on experience - £35,000 - £50,000

Ability to work independently and as part of a team
To service or install the appropriate devices, working safely and responsibly to avoid injuries, damage to property, and the loss of unused materials
Ensuring your time is managed efficiently and jobs are prioritised correctly
Correctly complete engineer work and service reports, handover certificates/SSAIB certificates or checklist as appropriate
Ability to lift and climb ladders
